Description:

The Screenwriters Development Fund (SDF) invests in Nova Scotian production companies to develop
scripts by Nova Scotian writers for film and television.

Deadline:

Applications are closed. Stay tuned for future intake.

Eligibility:

Applicants must have eligible project that meets the criteria:

1. writer fees
2. producer fees
3. rights (options fees) for literary material
4. research or travel expenses
5. story editors and script consultants, including equity, diversity and inclusion consultants
6. screenplay workshopping
7. demo reels and pitch materials

Applicants must:

2. Contact the Screenwriters Development Fund to discuss your project idea and confirm your eligibility.
3. Complete the funding application.
4. Check the application for details on all required supporting documents.
