Description:

The Arts Infrastructure Grants for New and Emerging Artists program is a project-based program designed to provide one-time capital acquisition to emerging New Brunswick artists or newly-arrived immigrants to acquire equipment that will enable them to complete a project and strengthen their long-term artistic development.

August 1, 2025

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

1. Be a Canadian citizen, have an affiliation with a First Nation on Turtle Island, be a permanent resident of Canada or have an application for permanent resident in process;
2. Have resided in New Brunswick for at least one year (12 months) prior to the application deadline;
3. Must qualify as a professional artist according to the guidelines in Appendix 1: artsnb Definition of a Professional Artist
4. Meet the definition of an Emerging Artist (Category C) given in Appendix 5: Established, Mid-Career and Emerging Artist Criteria by Discipline
5. OR first became permanent residents of Canada less than 5 years ago;

Application Steps:

2. submit the application by 11:59pm on the deadline date.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:

1. Description of the proposed equipment acquisition and rationale in terms of the impact on the applicant’s future artistic work; max. 500 words
2. Project description; max. 350 words
3. Balanced project budget
4. Artist’s CV
5. Samples of work (see Appendix 2: Samples of Work Guidelines)
