Description:
The Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries (DAAF) provides financial assistance for the transportation of dolomitic and calcitic lime from the source of origin to the field receiving the lime.

Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. Primary agriculture producers with a valid Registered Professional Agriculture Producer (RPAP) registration,
2. Agriculture producer associations involved in primary agricultural production (e.g., Community Pasture Associations), and
3. Indigenous Peoples or Indigenous Organizations involved in primary agricultural production.
Application Steps:
Applicants must submit a complete application to the regional DAAF department contact, in person, by email or by mail.
Documentation Needed:
Applicants must submit:
1. Current or an immediate previous year soil analysis lab report which indicates a pH below 6.0 for each field
the lime was applied to.
2. In the instance where variable application rates are applied within a field, an “as spread map” supplied by
the custom applicator must be provided, together with a grid soil sampling map report indicating average
field pH.
3. Copies of all invoices related to lime purchases which must show:
a. The tonnes of lime purchased,
b. The type of lime purchased,
c. The source of the lime purchased (Havelock, Brookville (Saint John), Elmtree, or other pre-approved
location by DAAF,
d. Proof of payment for each invoice. Acceptable proofs are e-transfer confirmations, debit/credit card
slips, cleared cheques, and credit card/bank statements. Invoices marked paid and signed by the
supplier are not acceptable.
4. A valid RPAP registration number (only required for primary agriculture producers).
5. The distance (kilometers) to which the lime was delivered. (see Appendix A)
