Agri-Land Accessibility and Enhancement

Description:
The program support the development of farmland for agriculture in New Brunswick including bringing lands formerly used for agriculture back into active production, enhancing the development and productivity of new production fields and improving existing farmland. Any increase in acreage will support:
• more sustainable farming practices with reduced environmental impacts,
• improved crop rotations resulting in healthier soils,
• increased land base for the production of crops and livestock feed, and
• increased self-sufficiency levels of food and livestock feed crops which will reduce transportation costs and associated environmental impacts
Continuous Intake
Eligibility:
Applicants must be:
1. Indigenous Peoples or Organizations
2. Agriculture producers (individuals, partnerships and incorporated agri-businesses involved in primary agricultural production)
3. Agriculture producer associations involved in primary
agricultural production (e.g. Community Pasture Associations)
4. Other individuals or groups capable of achieving
program objectives.
5. Resident of the Province of New Brunswick who is at least 19
years of age.
6. Project location is within the Province of New Brunswick
7. Project benefits the Province of New Brunswick
