Description:

Get up to $29,000 in financial support for EV charging infrastructure to boost building value and attract and retain residents.

Comments on Funding:

This program offers two pathways for EV charging installation:
EV Ready Approach: Two rebates are available: One to engage an engineer to develop a long term strategy (study) for EV charging in your building; and one to install eligible charging stations.
Standalone EV Charger: A simple rebate to install eligible charging stations (without an EV Ready Plan).

Eligibility:

Applicants must:
1. Be existing or new construction multi-unit residential buildings in Nova Scotia with four
or more units.
2. Come from building owners, condo boards, or other building representatives with legal signing authority for the building.
3. Installed charging stations must be on the program’s eligible product list and used primarily by the building residents.
4. Charging stations must be installed on a common, shared electrical account (house meter)

2. Submit your application and wait for pre-approval
3. Develop your EV Ready Plan
4. Submit the completed plan and required documents

For EV Ready Charher (Optional rebate approved plans)
1. Get a quote from a certified electrician
2. Submit your application and wait for pre-approval
3. Install the charging stations and submit the rebate form

For Standalone EV Charger
1. Hire a certified electrician to complete a site assessment and provide a quote
2. Submit your application and wait for pre-approval
3. Install charging stations and submit rebate form
