Efficiency Nova Scotia offers several programs for farmers and Agriculture Businesses, including:
Energy Assessments: Free assessments to identify energy-saving opportunities from an Agriculture Energy Manager
Equipment Rebates: Financial incentives for upgrading to energy-efficient equipment, such as Dairy – Equipment, Barn Ventilation, HVAC, refrigeration and LED lighting
Renewables: Incentives for installing solar photovoltaic (PV) and solar thermal systems

Eligibility:

Applicants must be agricultural businesses like dairy farmers and greenhouse growers seeking to cut costs and boost yield with energy efficient upgrades.
1. Projects must be pre-approved to be eligible for incentive funding
2. Minimum facility annual electrical consumption of 350,000 kWh
3. Must be an institutional, charitable, commercial, or industrial facility served (directly or indirectly) by NSPI
4. Facility must have a functioning Building Automation System (BAS)
5. Facility cannot have been recommissioned in the past three years
6. Measurement and verification of savings is required before implementation incentive is paid
