The Business Development Program provides access to capital in the form of interest-free repayable assistance to SMEs and co-operatives to help them start up, expand or modernize their business. The BDP also provides financial assistance, in the form of non-repayable assistance, to not-for-profit organizations that provide support to Atlantic businesses to undertake projects that help Atlantic Canadian SMEs to grow, become competitive and increase their productivity.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is 50% of eligible costs for start-ups, expansions and modernizations and 75% of eligible costs for activities such as studies, marketing/trade, innovation, training and quality assurance.
Funding takes the form of interest-free repayable assistance to SMEs and co-operatives.
Funding takes the form of non-repayable assistance to not-for-profit organizations.
When It Ends:
Applicant must be:
contact their nearest ACOA office to discuss their project;
complete and submit the Application for Financial Assistance form.
