Description:

The Small Business Energy Solutions program offers rebates to cover up to 80% of the project cost and other incentives for various energy efficiency upgrades. 

Comments on Funding:

Funding will take the form of:

  1. 1
    energy rebates to cover up to 80% of the project cost for various energy efficiency upgrades;
  2. 2
    a free energy assessment;
  3. 3
    a 24-months interest-free financing on the applicant's Nova Scotia Power bill.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be:

  • small business customers whose annual electrical energy consumption is less than 350,000 kWh (approximately $3,800 per month in electricity costs);
  • located within Nova Scotia;
  • electrically heated small businesses, if interested in the 24-months interest-free financing.

Application Steps:

Applicant must contact the Small Business Energy Specialist, Spencer LeBlanc for a free 15 minute energy consultation to review his/her power usage, current equipment and discuss next steps to become more efficient (email sleblanc@efficiencyns.ca);

Applicant must obtain pre-approval (incentives will not be paid out for products already purchased).
