MMSB’s Solid Waste Management Innovation Fund (SWMIF) provides financial support to innovators who are advancing sustainable waste management by finding creative ways to turn trash into treasure in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is a non-repayable contribution covering up to 80% of the eligible costs of projects up to a maximum of $15,000.

Applicants must submit:
- 1a proposal (including organizational profile and executive summary, company/organization profile, description of project, project budget (table));
- 2a letter of good standing/satisfactory account from the proponent’s banking institution, if incorporated entities and sole proprietors/partnerships;
- 3a bank statement; a line of credit statement or a letter from the bank advising that the proponent can finance its portion of the project, if non-profit organizations;
- 4the proponent’s Government of Newfoundland and Labrador vendor/direct seller license number (where applicable).
