Description:

The Emerging Artist Component provides funding to assist emerging artists from New Brunswick with the creation of tools and resources to further develop their career path.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is up to 75% of eligible expenses, to a maximum of $1,500.
The maximum investment that an applicant may receive in a fiscal year for all components combined (excluding the Sound Recording Component) is $10,000.

Closed for the 2021-2022 fiscal year

Eligibility:

The applicant must:

  • be an individual or a registered business with Service NB (for groups and businesses),
  • be a resident of New Brunswick six (6) consecutive months prior to the application.

Cover bands and tribute bands are not eligible. Exceptions may be made for blues, classical, jazz or traditional standards. 

Application Steps:

The applicant must submit their application and supporting documents before the start of the project,

The applicant may only receive investment from this component once.

Documentation Needed: 

The applicant must submit:

  • the completed application form,
  • one (1) demo track (if applying for the production of a professional demo), and lyrics (if applicable),
  • quotes from all service providers (studio, producer, graphic designer, etc.),
  • CVs or biographies of all relevant team members,
  • a project budget with specific expenses and revenues,
  • any other information relevant to his project.
