Description:
The Certified Organic Land Conversion Sub-Program supports producers in mitigating risks associated with converting conventional farm land to certified organic farm land.
Comments on Funding:
Funding is as follows:
- $1,000/acre to a maximum of $10,000 per year for perennial horticultural crops,
- $500/acre to a maximum of $10,000 per year for annual vegetable crops,
- $0.30/m2 to a maximum of $10,000 per year for greenhouse crops,
- $40/acre to a maximum of $10,000 per year for cereals, oilseeds and pulses.
There is a maximum of $40,000 available for eligible applicants from all Organic Industry Development Sub-Programs over the life of the CAP Framework Agreement (2018-2023).
