MusicNL Virtual Professional Development

Description:

The MusicNL Virtual Professional Development provides assistance to artists or groups to improve creative skills, to gain greater knowledge of the music industry, to conduct business that seeks to promote and market MusicNL members outside the province, to attend (virtual) music related conferences, festivals and events.

Comments on Funding:

Funding is in the form of a grant of up to $750. Payment will be issued with 40% up front and 60% upon completion of final report. Repayment shall be required if receipts do not exceed the 40% up front payment.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have been residents of Newfoundland & Labrador for at least six (6) months prior to the application. Proof of residency may be required.

Application Steps:

1

should contact MusicNL’s Program Manager, David Shears, to discuss the proposed project prior to submitting the application at info@musicnl.ca or 709-754-2574,

must submit the application electronically via the application form page, 

3

submit the final report and accompanying Expense Claim to receive the remaining 60% of the grant. 

Documentation Needed: 

​Applicants must submit:

  1. 1
    the completed application form,
  2. 2
    a complete budget,
  3. 3
     a high resolution photo,
  4. 4
    any other material relevant to their project (letter of invitation for showcases, bios for anyone they will be working with for this project, etc.)

Approved applicants are required to submit a final report within thirty (30) days of the project end date.

Other Things to Note:

Applications must be received at the MusicNL office no later than 2 weeks (14 days) prior to the start date of the proposed project.
