Description:

The Creative Residencies Quebec Program provides professional New Brunswick artists with opportunities for creation and professional development residencies in the Quebec. They have the opportunity to pursue a one-to-three month creation-based or professional development residency in the province of Québec.

Eligibility:

Applicants must:

meet the professional artist criteria, including, but not limited to: having peer recognition, having a history of public presentation, having training appropriate to the artist's chosen discipline (including mentorship and/or apprenticeship training), earning income, fully or in part, from artistic activity, demonstrating serious intent and devotion of energy to practicing art,
be in one of the following disciplines: architecture and craft, dance, music, literary arts, media arts, multidisciplinary arts, theatre, visual arts, classical and non-classical music,
be Canadian citizens or permanent residents,
have resided in New Brunswick for at least 12 months prior to the application deadline,
have completed any projects previously funded under the Creation program,
not have an overdue Final Report for any project funded by artsnb.

Application Steps:

Applicants must:

create an online account,

submit the application.

Documentation Needed:

Applicants must submit:

the completed application form,
the project description (max. 350 words), project title, location, start and end dates,
information on the hosting organization,
a balanced project budget,
the artist’s resume / CV,

samples of work,
an official letter of agreement from the hosting party,
a CV and letter of agreement for each collaborator involved in the project, if applicable,
critical reviews, pree clippings and up to 2 letters of recommendation (optional).

Funding recipients are required to provide an final report following completion of the project.

Other Things to Note:

The New Brunswick Arts Board (artsnb) and the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) have partnered on an artist residency program.
