Acadian and Francophone Culture Fund

Description:

The Acadian and Francophone Culture Fund provides financial assistance to non-profit organizations to develop or promote a unique and innovative cultural experience that will attract Francophone residents/visitors and reinforce PEI’s vibrant Francophonie (e.g. service, festival or cultural experience).  

Comments on Funding:

The Acadian and Francophone Culture Fund will support up to 60 per cent of a project or activity.

Financial assistance is offered in two components:

  1. 1
    Component 1 - Marketing/promotion: assistance towards the cost of developing promotional material or activities,
  2. 2
    Component 2 - Project development: assistance to offer (plan, organize and promote) a festival and cultural activity/experience.

The application may be a combination of both components


When It Ends:

Accepting applications starting February 15, 2022

Deadline:

April 15, 2022

Eligibility:

The applicant must:

  • have a non-profit registration number,
  • have a recognized executive committee,
  • have $2 million liability insurance coverage,
  • propose a project or activity that:
  • has a strong Francophone component,
  • can be completed between April 1st and March 31st of the fiscal year in which funding is received,
  • contributes to reinforcing and promoting PEI’s Francophonie.

Application Steps:

The applicant must:

1

submit his application form and the proposal description to Innovation PEI via online web form, 

2

submit final reports within 45 days following the end of the project or by March 31st, if accepted. 

Documentation Needed: 

​The applicant must submit:

  1. 1
    detailed project budget,
  2. 2
    a COVID-19 Operational Plan and a viability plan,
  3. 3
    background information related to his/her non-profit organization,
  4. 4
    a clear description of his/her organization’s proposed activity with objectives for reinforcing/promoting PEI’s Francophonie,
  5. 5
    a detailed description of how his/her organization will promote the event/activity.
